How to secure your Facebook account from hackers

Secure Facebook account

You need strong strategies to prevent your Facebook account from being hacked by hackers. Hackers are restless nowadays to snatch Facebook accounts from people, either to get their screen chats or to use their accounts for fraud. Below are the well explained method to protect your Facebook account

1. Always monitor your Facebook login history

Most Facebook users don’t know that they can view their Facebook login history. You can view your login history in your Facebook account’s Settings to know on what device your Facebook account is logged in, when they are logged in, from which place they logged in, and what activity was performed when they logged in. This clearly gives you an insight into who is using your Facebook account without your permission.

2. Use a strong password

A strong password can be a combination of letters (both uppercase and lowercase), numbers, and symbols. Your password should be memorable to you but not possible for someone else to know or guess. So if you want to protect your Facebook account, create a strong password.

How to make a strong password for your Facebook account?

Make it memorable and longer (at least 10 characters)
A strong password contains Letters ((both uppercase and lowercase) numbers and symbols (any symbol like &, /, #, ?, !, and others)
Never include any of your names while creating a password (Example, Smith1234)

An example of a strong password is G2#aijasgse$tu74Bayue8KlMwoal!i/

3. Use two-steps verification

Two-step verification is a security process where users use two different authentication steps to verify the ownership of their accounts.

It is used to protect your account from being hacked. Two-factor authentication improves the level of security compared to using an ordinary authentication method where you provide only one factor, a password or passcode. Two-factor authentication methods ask the user to provide a password as the first factor and a second, different factor — usually a security token.

It makes it difficult for hackers to gain access to your Facebook account because if they can hack your password, it will not be enough to get access to your account.

Two factors authentication sends an authentication message to your mobile phone whenever you want to log in to your Facebook account.

The authentication code can only be used once to log in. Once you log out and want to log in again, you will need to use another authentication code that will be sent to you to access your account. You can read more here
